چکیده

Abstract Tomato plants are susceptible to significant yield losses when infested by the northern root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne hapla. While there many options for conventional chemical management, few of these offer effective control organic growers or those who seek adopt more environmentally considerate strategies. In this study, we showed that a new, biologically based product (referred as “MN21.2”) has potential controlling populations hapla , pest tomato (cv. Rutgers) in greenhouse trial. This is because if product’s efficacy supported under field conditions, it may provide with valuable tool fighting plant-parasitic nematode pest, M.

Biological Control of African Violets Root-Knot Disease by the Used of Extracellular Protease Bacillus

The present study explored the efficacy of Bacillus spp. and protease production for biocontrol of the root-knot nematode Meloidogyne javanica in African violet media. Among 100 bacterial isolates from various soils, the highest nematode mortality was observed for treatments with isolate GM-18, which was identified as Bacillus subtilis based on cultural and morphological characteristics and 16S...

Entomopathogenic Nematodes and Bacteria Applications for Control of the Pecan Root-Knot Nematode, Meloidogyne partityla, in the Greenhouse.

Meloidogyne partityla is a parasite of pecan and walnut. Our objective was to determine interactions between the entomopathogenic nematode-bacterium complex and M. partityla. Specifically, we investigated suppressive effects of Steinernema feltiae (strain SN) and S. riobrave (strain 7-12) applied as infective juveniles and in infected host insects, as well as application of S. feltiae's bacteri...

Effect of some plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria strains on root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita, on tomatoes

Root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita, is one of the main problems in vegetable-growing regions, decreasing yield quality and quantity worldwide. Root-knot nematode management tactics mostly involve chemical control which is a threat to the environment, consequences to human health. Biological control of nematodes is considered to be one of the best alternatives to the chemical control. In ...
